FACTORY / GODOWN / WARE HOUSE LIFT , Model Name/Number: FACTORY / GODOWN / WARE HOUSE LIFT

  • (Customer Reviews)
Overview

When choosing a lift for a factory, godown (warehouse), or industrial facility, the requirements shift from "passenger comfort" to rugged durability, high load capacity, and reliability.

In these environments, the lift is a critical link in the supply chain. If the lift goes down, production stops.

Requirement Hydraulic Traction (MRL)
Installation Cost Lower Higher
Running Cost Higher (Power hungry) Lower (Efficient)
Maintenance Easy (Oil/Seal focus) Specialized (Electronics focus)
Speed Slow (0.2 - 0.5 m/s) Fast (1.0+ m/s)

Lift Type Best For... Key Advantage
Goods-Only (Hoist) Low-rise godowns (2–3 floors). Cheapest; no passengers allowed.
Hydraulic Goods Lift Heavy loads (up to 10+ tons), low travel (under 5 floors). Simplest mechanics; power only used to go up.
Traction MRL High-traffic warehouses; multiple floors (4+ floors). Fastest; most energy-efficient for constant use.

  • Landing Interlocks: Doors cannot be opened unless the car is at that floor (critical for safety in busy godowns).

  • Overload Sensors: An alarm sounds and the lift refuses to move if the weight limit is exceeded.

  • Emergency Buffers: Heavy-duty springs or oil buffers at the bottom of the shaft (the pit) to absorb impact in a "runaway" scenario.

  • Emergency Lowering: Especially for hydraulic lifts, a manual valve that allows the lift to be lowered to the ground floor during a power cut.
