NBR OIL SEAL , Model Name/Number: NOS-01

  • (Customer Reviews)
Overview

An NBR oil seal (also known as Nitrile, Buna-N, or Perbunan) is the "workhorse" of the sealing world. It is a synthetic rubber copolymer made of acrylonitrile and butadiene, specifically engineered to block oil and fuel from leaking while keeping dirt and contaminants out.

NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) oil seals are high-performance, cost-effective, and versatile sealing rings designed to prevent lubricant leakage and protect rotating machinery from contamination. Featuring a nitrile rubber body, metal reinforcement, and a garter spring, they operate reliably between -30∘C to+120∘C offering excellent resistance to oils, grease, and fuels.

  • Material: NBR, a synthetic copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile, known for superior abrasion and tear resistance.
  • Design Types: Commonly found as TC (double lip) or SC (single lip) types, providing both sealing and dust exclusion.
  • Temperature Range: Typically −30∘C to +120∘C (or up to +100∘C depending on the compound).
  • Resistance: Excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils, water, hydraulic fluids, and grease.

  • High Wear Resistance: Durable in demanding, continuous, or reciprocating applications.
  • Sealing Integrity: Reinforced with a metal case to ensure shape retention and precise, tight sealing.
  • Versatility: The most widely used material for seals due to its excellent cost-performance ratio.
